Flight Data Services Selected by Nile Air to Provide Flight Data Monitoring Services

29 October 2010 – Fareham, UK: Flight Data Services, the world’s leading flight data monitoring provider, today announced it has signed a contract with Nile Air to provide FDM services.

Nile Air is a relatively new airline, owned by Saudi Arabia's largest travel services firm, Al-Tayyar Travel Group. Awarded its air operator certificate by the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority in November 2009, Nile Air currently operates two leased Airbus A320s, with FDM to be provided by FDS in accordance with the terms of the contract. Nile Air has also ordered nine A321-200s, worth $792 million according to current list prices, with delivery tagged for late 2012. Flying to Saudi Arabia and other Gulf destinations, Nile Air plans to begin regular regional flights out of Cairo by the beginning of 2011.
